Queen Mary University - Frameless Glass Entrance
We were approached by Queen Mary University who were interested in turning an open arch between two buildings into a visitor’s reception area consisting of a solid rear wall and a glass entrance incorporating a pair of double doors but were unsure of their options.
As the entrance was to be visitors first point of contact with the university we specified an impressive but elegant frameless toughened glass entrance incorporating a pair of toughened frameless double doors.
Empire supplied and installed all stainless steel channels, goal post frame and corner posts including all door hardware such as floor springs, door rails and handles. The glass for the main plates consists of 13.5mm Clear Laminated Safety Glass with the doors being 12mm Clear Toughened Safety Glass. All glass was cut and processed at our works. Empire also supplied the manifestation to both the main plates and doors.
These works were completed in five working days with an order value of £20k.
If specified and installed correctly fameless glass entrances can be quite elegant offering many years of maintenance free service.
