Science Museum - Spider Crane Replacement Glazing
These works consisted of the replacement of a high level double glazed unit at The Science Museum with the assistance of a spider crane, vacuum equipment and lorry mounted platform.
As these works cover the public footpath and section of the road a traffic management plan was produced in conjunction with our combined risk assessment and method statement. To ensure minimum disruption to the museum and public footfall these works were completed on a Sunday morning.
We complete awkward access replacement glazing on a regular basis in conjunction with plant such as cranes and a wide variety of access equipment. We can arrange all dispensation requests with local authorities. Our glaziers hold current CSCS, IPAF, PASMA and first add certificates. This one stop service offers the most efficient and cost effective service to the customer.
These works had an order value of 9k and were completed on behalf of The Science Museum via Fairhurst Ward Abbotts Limited.
